This year, to kick off of the City’s upcoming, annual Veterans Day Parade, the Neighborhood Services Team, in partnership with the James R. Morrison Photography Company, the Sacramento Metro Arts Commission (SMAC) Staff, City Hall Building Facilities Staff, all worked together to bring a visual experience in the City Hall Rotunda that showcases this year’s parade theme, Saluting Women in Military: Past, Present, Future.

To publicly launch this incredible photo exhibit created by Mr. and Mrs. Morrison of James R. Morrison Photography, the City of Sacramento – Neighborhood Services Division, in collaboration with the Women Veterans Alliance (WVA), and the James R. Morrison Photography Company, cordially invite you to participate in a short program to kick off this year’s celebration of veterans:

Date: Monday, November 5th

Time: 5:30pm – 6:00pm

Place: New City Hall – 1st Floor Lobby, Plaza-side

This photo exhibit showcases the phenomenal accomplishments of women veterans, whom often don’t get recognized or acknowledged for their service to the same degree as their male counterparts, and inspired this year’s efforts to dedicate the City’s annual parade in honoring the leadership, commitment and duty that our women veterans and all veterans gave for our great country.

The photo exhibit will be on display at City Hall starting November 1st – November 14th. For more information about the exhibit please go to www.SheAlsoServed.com

A tremendous thank you to the Morrisons for allowing us to showcase their deeply moving exhibit. And a much-needed acknowledgement and thank you to all of the City staff that provided exceptional support and assistance in making the exhibit a reality at City Hall: Maryann Deleon Munoz, Lennee Eller, Susanna Tu, Anthony (Tony) Runge and Crew, Efrain Morales, Yvonne Riedlinger, Randy Singh, Heather Hoekstra, Amber Bishop and Eugenia Kamau.
