Topic:  The Essentials of art in everyday life. Art is not a luxury; art is essential to incorporate into everyday life. Art is a path to aid therapeutically, to relieve stress and related anxieties. No art experience is required; allow me to guide you through an adventure of creativity and a pleasant realm of self-discovery beyond words. No art supplies needed; if you have a pen, a sharpie, or just a pencil, let's get started In a simple process, I engage each participant with simple to use methods.

Phyllis T. Miller, US Navy/Vietnam, eight years as an officer (LT), specialty “illustration Draftsperson,” Coronado Island, San Diego, California. Twenty-five years in private practice, on Wall Street, New York, NY. Investment consulting, IPO offerings, and management of client’s art portfolios. An artist by guidance through God, medical illustration, fine art, curator, and art consulting. Art Center College of Design, and UCSD in finance Economics/contract law.

Creator/founder of "The Veterans Art Venue" & Meroe gallery since 2009. The artist’s mission, to continue the agenda of “The Veterans Art Venue” to empower veterans through art. Two art venues, “Therapeutic Paint & Sip,” designed for veterans who PTSD burdens? And related trauma. “Art Sessions,” for veterans who are seasoned artists, and art exhibit tours, “Visual beyond Words,” featuring selected works of fellow veteran artisans in major cities across the nations. An emerging fashion shoe artist of originals works by hand.

AWARDS

  • Winner of the Western Regional VA Arts Competition, for 2008, through 2020, first-place awards.
  • Art on display by invitation in the Los Angeles City Hall executive gallery from 2007 to 2010. Phyllis T. Miller’s art was published through “The Military of The Arts foundation.”
  • Healing Through Art
  • During the artist’s military career, she had discovered a need for art within the veterans and the military community.
