Bio: Rena Rhine is a Social Worker with Support The Enlisted Project (STEP). Rena is also a US Navy Veteran, and after active-duty service obtained a Bachelor of Social Work from Hawaii Pacific University and a Master of Social Work from the Ohio State University. Rena is a Certified Personal Finance Counselor and has served military service members, veterans, and their families for the past 7 years. As a Social Worker with STEP, Rena uses her experience, knowledge, and resources to assist service members and their families as they work toward their financial well-being.

Rena Rhine (Client Services Supervisor) – Ms. Rhine joined the STEP team in July 2020 as a Case Manager. She was promoted to Client Services Supervisor in January 2021. As the Client Services Supervisor, Ms. Rhine manages and guides the STEP team of Social Workers in the delivery of individualized financial freedom planning and addressing the client’s critical basic needs, approving grant assistance requests to facilitate the client’s abilities to achieve financial well-being. Ms. Rhine served in the US Navy for 8 years and completed her service with the Naval Construction Force as a Petty Officer Second Class. After transitioning from the Navy, Ms. Rhine earned her Master of Social Work from The Ohio State University, Bachelor of Social Work from Hawaii Pacific University, and also is a Certified Personal Finance Counselor. Her professional experience focuses on providing services to the military population, including veterans, service members, and their families, addressing employment, service member transition, mental health treatment, life skills, military family support, and community engagement. Ms. Rhine is also a military spouse and has had many experiences around the globe while serving the military population.
