The Entrepreneur Mindset - 12 Questions I Wish I'd Asked Beforehand

Presented by: LaShundra Rucker

Twelve questions I wish I had asked before becoming an entrepreneur. It's one thing to decide to go out on your own, but it's quite another to transition from a secure workplace with a guaranteed paycheck to having a thought process of "This is my business and I need to make decisions for myself, customers, and employees. I (or we) set the vision).

How to transition from work to business owner.

Bio: Sean Rucker, owner and founder of SportBike Chic, LLC a motorcycle apparel brand for women. She's been riding motorcycles for over 10 year and was frustrated just enough with the selection of apparel options for women motorcyclists to do something about it. Through the 4 year journey into entrepreneurship, she’s collected countless nuggets along the way. However, at the heart she always remembers her why. Though it may evolve, depending on the needs of her customer needs, there’s an ongoing process of self-reflection, understanding opportunities, growth, and improvement. On her journey, she’s added several titles and accomplishments to her toolbox and is still dedicated to empowering other women. Sean finds inspiration and love in bringing people together, ensuring voices are heard - through virtual interviews, relying heavily on the feedback of women to build a brand for them, and getting involved with the community through partnerships. While she still works in corporate America full time, her goal is building a successful, efficient, functional, and thriving business that she gets to present to women motorcyclists and the entire motorcycle community.
