Free entrepreneurship training programs and resources that IVMF has to offer, including a program specifically for women veterans (V-WISE).

Bio: Deanna Parker serves as the Program Manager for both the Entrepreneurship Bootcamp for Veterans with Disabilities (EBV) and Veteran Women Igniting the Spirit of Entrepreneurship (V-WISE) Programs.

She is a four-year veteran of the Marine Corps, serving in various roles including legal chief and transportation dispatch chief before leaving the military as a sergeant. During her time in service, she received more than a dozen honors and was deployed to Afghanistan and North Africa.

Upon transitioning from active duty in 2011, Parker served as the Program Director for Central New York Baptist Youth Camp where she planned and implemented all elements of the summer program for residential campers ages 8 to 18. Additionally, she took the role of the Women’s Basketball Assistant Coach at Clarks Summit University, PA.

Before joining IVMF, she spent her time lobbying in D.C. as a Legislative Fellow with the Veterans of Foreign Wars and the Student Veterans of America working on veteran transition issues. Prior to that, she was the Outreach Specialist for the Office of Military and Veteran Services at Marywood University, PA.

Deanna holds a bachelor’s degree (dual degree) in health and physical education K-12 and biblical theology from Clarks Summit University, PA, and a master’s degree in criminal justice from Marywood University, PA.
